WOW. That was the epitome of awkward.

I ended up needing Rosie to pick me up from the airport and she did which I am grateful for. But then I also asked if she could pick up Vince on the way & she was like, “Sure but why?” A reasonable question. I told her that we were gonna go out on a date (a date which would be our first official going out to dinner and a movie type date mind you) and then it got weird. I could literally feel the judgement carving its way into my bones.
Rosie laughed, “Oh. That’s weird. Haha wow. I’m sorry I just... that’s really funny. And so weird. I find that so weird. Who asked who on the date?”
Naturally I panicked because I don’t know how to respond or talk to people and I was already freaking out so I was just like, “Oh I dunno. I guess we just kind of planned it.”
She was not satisfied with that answer.
So I continued and said, “Well I guess if I think about it, it was probably Vince who asked first...”
She asked me how I felt about it since he was my convert and all. I told her that I did feel a little weird since I know it’s all a little taboo but that I felt good about it.
Then the subject kind of dropped and somehow, through a series of misunderstanding and unfortunate events, Rosie came to the mall WITH us for our date. Yup. I repeat, WITH US. Hardcore third wheel. And she KNEW it was a date. Yet still, here we were. So she got food some place in the food court and Vince and I got food from elsewhere and split a meal. Then we all sat down to eat but it was awkward because I had accidentally definitely given off the impression that it was our first date or something. So we all ate and it was weird and then Vince went to use the restroom and I went to get Rosie a to-go box for her food.
When I came and sat back down Vince was still gone. Not even two seconds into my butt touching the chair Rosie said, “Do you actually like him?”
I’m sorry. What?? Okay that’s definitely rude. “Yes actually I do. We’ve already been dating for like two months so... I definitely like him.”
Cue another tidal wave of judgement. So much judgement. I was being stabbed with it.
“Oh. That’s weird. That is like super duper weird. Oh my goodness.”
I told her, “Yeah he actually came to visit me in January.” And let me tell you folks, I should not have said that. She blew up and was like, “Seriously? That’s what he was doing? He missed his own surprise birthday party!”
I confirmed that yes, he missed it. Although to be fair, he didn’t know it was happening and also I could corroborate how awful he felt about missing it.
At one point, after I tell her we are officially dating, Rosie literally said, “Well that’s good to know. I don’t feel as bad third wheeling you guys now.” (Yeah. If third wheeling was forcibly semi stalking and intruding on our date.) When Vince came back she was like, “Okay, we HAVE to go to See’s Candies. So we did and man could you feel the negative vibes in the air. Afterwards we told her that we were gonna check movies and times at the theater to see if we wanted to switch what movie we’d originally decided since the start time was so late.
I guess it would turn out Rosie was under the impression that I wanted her to give me a ride home from the mall too so I cleared that up with her and then we parted ways. As we walked away she literally called out, “Don’t do anything stupid.” in a tone that was far more patronizing than teasing. Oh yeah, she also definitely took a stalker photo of us at some point & probably sent it to people so that’s great. Our business, our relationship, and what should have been ours to tell people, is probably already out. While I am grateful for all of her help with the rides, I have literally not had a more awkward and painful and judgemental dinner date.
The rest of the date was good though. We decided to attend the later showing of Knives Out that we had planned on watching before. We sat outside for an hour and talked. Then we got our tickets and used the restrooms and checked out movie posters until the film was ready to go. And let me tell ya, it was definitely one of my favorite movie theatre experiences ever 😏

I was running late for church today and I was really worried I was going to miss the sacrament and when I got there they were just finishing it up and I was kind of sad but I knew it was my fault I missed it because I was late. So me and one other girl who had been late walked in after the sacrament and the Bishop got up and asked if we would like the sacrament administered to us and it was the greatest thing. And then both the topics in sacrament meeting and in our second hour lesson were exactly what I needed to hear and learn about and it just reaffirmed to me that God is looking out for all of us and He knows us perfectly.

Today I:
-Went to the temple with Derity and did a session
-Got a pizza from Little Caesars for dinner
-Got Crumbl cookies for dessert
-Went swimming with Derity and Nathan at the pool at Nathan's complex
-Stayed up until 4 AM eating popcorn and watching the Bachelor with Derity

Today I got to go to the Museum of Art at BYU with my family and it was actually really fun. We didn't have much time so I couldn't look at all the displays but I think that I realized that I kind of like art museums.

Obviously today is Valentine's Day but unfortunately Vince is still 900 miles away in Arizona so we can't really do anything for Valentine's Day. But Nathan reached out to him and said that he could get some roses for me and Vince could tell him a little note to put with it so they'd kind of be from him. It's really kind of sweet. I can't wait to see him.

I was running late for class this morning and I was just gonna skip breakfast and get something at the MC after class but then Derity made me a breakfast burrito and man isn't she just the greatest of friends?

YO. I mentioned this girl in my Writing & Reasoning class the other day with the two different colored paperclips as earring and she came to class today and she dyed the hair on one half of her head black and the other half is still strawberry blonde, Cruella De Vil style you know? AND SHE PULLS IT OFF YOU GUYS. It like matches her aura. Who is she?? I'm in awe.

I got 100% on my Child Development Unit 1 Exam.

I got 100% on my Foundations of the Restoration Unit 1 Exam.

I got 94% on my Social Science Statistics Unit 1 Exam.

Plus Vince told me today that he loves my nose, especially when it scrunches up.

So I guess you could say that I'm pretty happy!

While I was talking to Vince last night I pulled out some peanut butter that I had next to my bed and ate a spoonful of it and he just stopped and was like, "Wait. No way." And then he reaches over and grabs a jar of peanut butter that he had next to his bed. "This can't be a coincidence."

Also he told me that he would still like me even if I didn't shower for six months.

Conclusion: He is literally the best.

I went to a water aerobics class today and it was definitely interesting. Not bad but just... interesting.

Also Nathan came over tonight and him, Derity, and I were hanging out in our living room watching an episode of "The Bachelor" while Nathan was peer reviewing a paper. He had Derity read through it too and then I did and wow I could not stop laughing. I started crying and I had to wipe away tears as I sat on the floor trying to finish reading the paper. Derity took a video of me and then sent it to Vince and that totally cracked him up.

The girl in front of me in my Writing & Reasoning class is literally wearing one blue paperclip and one yellow paperclip as earrings and that's like, ridiculously hardcore.

Also I painted my fingernails gold and I feel mad fancy. Like it makes them seem kind of delicate. Does that make any sense? I dunno, I just think they're cute. Okay here I'll just upload a picture and you can form your own opinion:

Today the girl sitting next to me in my Foundations of the Restoration class told me that she liked my make-up and that was honestly the most spontaneously genuine thing that's ever happened to me.

My boyfriend is literally the cutest because he sends me texts that could be lyrics to songs and he says the sweetest things. Some examples:

"Your smile just lights me up inside."

"I'm taking my time here, no rush at all, but I keep getting the feeling that you're exactly what I'm looking for... 💗"

And gosh when he rolls his eyes and gets all embarrassed when I compliment him...
He's just something else and it's the greatest.
