My dad had flowers delivered to my apartment as an apologetic gesture and it was actually one of the sweetest things ever. I'm honestly really grateful for him and for the example he's given me of what a good man looks like.

I have been high key slacking on this and I am so sorry. I was going to post the other night but the power went out in multiple cities as did the internet. So I forgot about the post and my roommate forgot about the pot of water she had been boiling on the stove, which did not bode well when the power came back on at like 1:30 am and we didn't find the pot until about 7:30 am...

On the bright side I've been reading scriptures with Vince over Face Time every night and it's actually the best thing ever, this boy is literally so good. And he called me his girl tonight and I don't think I've ever melted faster in my life.

So far I have gotten 100% on each of my stats quizzes and now I know that I am definitely certifiably a nerd because I actually enjoy and understand statistics.

I'm barely a week into college classes and I already feel overwhelmed with the amount of homework I have. Please help.

Fun fact: A couple days before moving to Idaho I frantically searched three different stores trying to find a small stuffed sloth. Like literally any sloth as long as it could fit into a backpack that was also carrying two days of stuffs worth in it. It took me forever but I finally found one and I was a little upset cause it wasn't the cutest but it was all I could find. I just really wanted to get Vince a Christmas/Birthday present and I thought the sloth would be really clever.

Do you wanna hear the freaking cutest thing?

He got me a little stuffed sloth too.

It’s 3:30 in the morning on the 11th of January. About one hour ago, yah girl got her first kiss with her boy Vince! And yes, it was a little sloppy & awkward at first but that’s a given.

We dropped him off at his hotel at about 2:35 ish. Derity stayed in the car & I walked him to his door. We started to hug goodbye, each of us fully expecting to kiss before I walked away. I looked up at him with some hair on my face & he went for it & I realized a little too late that that’s what was happening so I moved & he ended up sort of missing.

So, in an effort to make it as adorable as possible, & also because it felt right in the moment, I smiled & said something like, “I think you missed. Could you try again?” That one landed pretty good.

There were still a few nose bumps & cheek kisses after that but by the end of the goodnights we’d done a pretty good job of knowing where each other’s lips were.

His lips were actually pretty soft & his beard kind of tickled in a good way & man I just like him so dang much.

My sincerest apologies for not doing too hot on regularly updating the blog. I'd gotten so good at it but habits only last so long if you don't keep up with them. So bear with me.

Today was a long day what with an 8:00 am math class and having to get my TB shot checked on campus at 3:30. I felt like I was on campus all day and it was so draining.

We had an apartment meeting in the Lounge though and they gave us pizza so that was fantastic!

Today has just felt like a really long day and I feel like that's primarily because I can't freaking wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow night Vince will be here in Idaho and I'm beyond excited to see him!!

Happy birthday to one of my very favorite people, the one and only Vince. So grateful you exist and that you're part of my life. Don't worry, I'll only judge you a little bit for wanting an oatmeal birthday cake... okay no you're right. I'm judging you a lot. Like a lot a lot.

Today I have officially moved in to my college housing at BYU-Idaho.

It didn’t hit me until my mom & I were nearing Pocatello to stop for lunch & then all the sudden it was just like, “Wow. I am really doing this. I’m moving to Idaho, five hours away from my family, & rooming with my best friend & doing school & really starting to live life.”

I’m ridiculously excited for the adventure ahead of me, scary as it may seem right now.
